There is money in blogging

Yes, that's right: There is money in blogging. I discovered it last night when I opened my AdSense Account to get ads for this blog. I have an existing AdSense Account with Googles as I used to run with blogspot.com four blogs - Salt of Life, my blog on religion, philosophy and science; Fun in Life, a pun blog; Viajero, a travel blog; and Miscellaneous, the fourth blog I created about a year ago for odd stories I come across the path of my reading journey. Although I had stopped posting articles for the four blogs they are still marked active because at least half a dozen of people still read them everyday.

I am a caveman when in comes to computers, in fact, with electronics technology in general. But there are times when our handicap can prove to be a blessing. I have had problems on how to edit the html links I took from the queue of ads made available for this blog and I kept on searching for self-help instructions. Going full circle every now and then, I accidentally hit whatever gadget or button that opened the site for my earnings. When I got exasperated that I couldn't post any ad, I gave up. Curiosity led me to go back to my earnings and computed them. The amount was small - just a little more than $85 for one whole year. But if you consider that my main blog, Salt of Life, which got the ads, was only a little more than one-year old and had an average of 30 readers a day before I stopped posting articles on it a few months after I created it, it wasn't bad enough. The blog started earning in March 2011 and ceased to earn in March 2012, probably because its readership has dwindled. AdSense pays for the number of clicks on every ad and, since the size of my readership has dropped, its logical that the number of clicks also dipped.

That brings us to the issue of traffic or the number of readers you get every day. It goes without saying that the more readers you have, the more clicks your blog will probably get. Just imagine that if I had earned an average of $7 a month with only 30 or a little more readers daily, how much would you be earning if you have about a thousand of readers a day? We can speculate that you could be earning at least $100 a month in passive income from your passion to blog. That's why fraudsters or scam artists have proliferated in cyberspace promising bloggers and website owners to increase their traffic to hundreds of thousands or even millions. The problem is you have to pay them upfront before they will show you how their system will work. I think the best way to increase your traffic is to post good contents or interesting articles on each blog. But, of course, writing good articles requires time. That's the main reason why I dropped my four blogs in late 2011 and posted only two articles last year. I got tired of blooging, particularly because I was not getting any money from it and got myself busy with other things.

So I do I have to create this blog? I have answered this question in the first article I posted for this blog, but for the sake of those who haven't read it or do not care to read it, it's because I planned to make this as a platform to post my personal ads.
I taking the advice of some financial experts to create a multiple streams of income if you want to gain financial freedom from the traditional source of income, employment, in preparation for our final homecoming within a year or two from now. Please join me in prayers for the success of whatever endeavor I will get into. In the meantime, if you are a blogger, keep on blogging and earn from your passion. For those who have not started yet and want to earn an extra income from blogging, create your first blog right away. Delliance often leads to inaction. Enjoy a nice, pleasant day.
